Transmitter Agents
Transmitter Agents operate within a decentralized, off-chain DPoS network to facilitate data transmission in the Photon Messaging Protocol. Governed by the Master Smart Contract on the EIB, these agents ensure efficient, low-latency data handling across blockchains. Transmitters capture, validate, and process off-chain data with precision and speed. They are fully programmable, offering customization to meet specific protocol-level requirements for advanced data handling and consensus mechanisms.
Role of External Developers in Transmitter Operations
External Developers are vital for customizing and managing Transmitter Agents, ensuring seamless cross-chain data transfer. They design protocols for specific use cases, configure key parameters like staking thresholds and message limits, deploy Executors, and set up transmitters. Maintaining protocol balances is essential to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Participation requires KYB verification and locking NGL tokens to cover rewards, fees, and staking. The External Developer Hub centralizes these tasks, ensuring consistent updates and KYB compliance across protocols.
Transmitter Management and Configuration
Transmitter Agents register wallet addresses upon meeting staking requirements. The Round Manager contract allocates these addresses to protocol tasks. Developers use the External Developer Hub to define staking requirements, operational limits, and KYB compliance.
The GOV protocol ensures seamless updates and network integration. Transmitters are selected for rounds based on their stake, capabilities, and adherence to protocol-defined parameters, optimizing cross-chain operations.
